Liam has lived in Belfast since 2011 when he moved here from Scotland. He has a degree in Art and Design from Edinburgh College of Art, and has been an award winning, international practicing artist for the last decade.
During that time, Liam also worked in manufacturing while looking for a way to combine his passions of cycling, art and design. In 2021, he completed air brushing and bicycle specific painting courses. Through VELOPAINTWORKS, he is now applying his creative practice to custom bicycle painting.
Established in 2022, VELOPAINTWORKS combines art and design sensibility with a love for cycling culture. VELOPAINTWORKS is the painting partner for DONARD, Irelands leading framebuilder.
Liam races for the Velo Cafe Magasin team and is a member of Cycling Ireland.
